ForageTech Wildlife Forage Oats

Forage Tech Oats have been wildlife tested in food plots and test fields. Deer are considered browsers. However, when the deer start eating these oats they stay and “graze.” Oats make an excellent cover crop for perennial plantings such as Alfalfa/Clover/Chicory mix. We recommend 30 lbs per acre when utilizing the oats as a cover crop.

ForageTech Wildlife Forage Oats & Wheat Seed Blend

Forage Tech Wildlife Forage Oats and Winter Wheat Seed Mix combines these two seeds on a fifty/fifty basis. Deer have proved in our tests to prefer oats but the wheat is stronger for turkey and upland game birds. This makes an outstanding combination for use as a cover crop for perennial plantings at the rate of 30 lbs per acre. This blend will also plant a quarter to third of an acre.
